Job Summary:
The Automation & Controls Technician will provide automation and commissioning support services for TecProand subsidiary companies in Alaska.


Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

Control System field commissioning and diagnostics.
Develop software and hardware solutions for control systems.
Program and troubleshoot PLC based control systems including Rockwell, GE, Modicon, Siemens, etc.
Program and troubleshoot HMI and DCS applications to include graphical design, scripting, and databasequeries on platforms including Ignition, Aveva (Wonderware), Honeywell Experion, and others.
Set up and maintain process control networks using Ethernet, Modbus, ControlNet, Profibus and otherAutomation specific protocols.
Read and understand electrical prints and P&IDs.
Document Automation/SCADA systems per established procedures
Design and implement algorithms for feedback control systems.
Test and troubleshoot control systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Write technical reports and documentation.
Working knowledge of Industrial Automation/SCADA architecture design, including control,measurement, and safety systems.
Work with the field Instrumentation and Electrical Team assisting with troubleshooting and maintenancewhere required.
Keep abreast of new Automation/SCADA related developments and technology in areas such a sequipment, software, governmental regulations, PCN cybersecurity, and communications.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in automation programming and commissioning
Strong knowledge of control theory and feedback control systems.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, etc.
Experience with PLC programming and HMI design.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced anddemanding work environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, otherdepartments, officials, and the public.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complexcomputer/information systems information into an organized and presentable manner.
Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.

Office Location and Travel:
This position is based in Wasilla, AK.
Frequent travel will be required to visit job sites around Alaska.

Working Environment & Conditions
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly lowto moderate. The incumbent may be briefly exposed to ambient temperature ranges of negative (-)60F topositive (+)110F due to extremes of Alaska Environmental conditions. Typical job duties may require theincumbent to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands andarms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. Theincumbent may occasionally be asked to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by thejob include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
