Who We Are Seeking: A dedicated and organized individual who is passionate about supporting Tribal youth through cultural, educational, prevention, and justice-related programming. The Youth Program Coordinator oversees and coordinates programs such as Rural Youth Services (RYS), Native Youth Olympics (NYO), Culture Camp and other initiatives that promote youth success, school attendance, healthy lifestyles, and positive community engagement. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can build strong relationships with youth, families, schools, Tribal departments, and community partners while managing multiple programs, maintaining compliance with grant and reporting requirements, and supporting the development of policies and procedures. This position requires professionalism, initiative, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to serving Indigenous youth and families.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.
Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
