We are currently seeking two Senior Property Managers. As a Senior Property Manager with University of Alaska Land Management, you will lead the comprehensive management of the University of Alaska's real property portfolio, overseeing complex land, leasing, development, and resource initiatives that support the University's academic mission and long‑term financial sustainability. This role provides strategic leadership across property operations, supervises professional staff, manages high‑value real estate transactions, and represents the University in negotiations with government agencies, private developers, and community stakeholders. You will work on impactful projects statewide while helping guide policy, ensure compliance, and optimize the performance of University land assets.
To thrive in this role, you will bring extensive experience in real property management, land development, leasing, and complex negotiations, along with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple high‑priority projects simultaneously. Success in this position requires strong judgment, financial acumen, and the ability to interpret and apply policy, law, and regulations to real‑world land management decisions. This role offers the opportunity to work on large‑scale, high‑impact projects across Alaska, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and play a key leadership role in stewarding University land assets for long‑term value in support of University scholarships and endowments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Equivalency of at least a Bachelor's degree in land planning, natural resources, finance, business, public administration or related field. Extensive training and or experience equivalency in negotiations.
Five years of progressively responsible relevant experience (e.g. land, resource, and real property planning, projects, negotiations, contracting, finance, business, or law), OR an equivalent combination of related training and work experience
Position Details:
This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/salary.php, Grade 82, based on education and experience.
