This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.
Worley would like to obtain personnel for this position that are interested in the trade crafts within our shops. Heavy and light duty mechanics, Welding, and we have a Tire shop as well. This position is intended to get the personnel used to rotational work and the safety culture here at Worley.

Purpose:
Performs manual labor and basic technical tasks to support Equipment Shops operations including cleaning, general housekeeping, shoveling, moving, and delivering materials and parts, trash pickup and disposal, operate equipment; forklift, small loader, man-lifts, scissor-lifts. Assists Mechanics as directed both in the shop and on field repairs.
Essential Job Functions:
Cleans parts, tools, and equipment.
Assists shop personnel as required in the performance of their tasks.
Performs heavy work outside in severe arctic weather, to include snow removal around facilities, and digging out vehicles and equipment.
Utilizes brushes, brooms, soaps, and solvents when necessary to facilitate removal of sludge, grease, and oil.
Responsible for keeping equipment and shop building and equipment clean.
Perform manual labor and basic mechanical/technical tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
Possess a working knowledge of small hand tools, such as shovels, hammers, drills, and grinders.
Possess current general knowledge of practical laborer skills.
Ability to work safely.
Ability to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
Ability to work closely with mechanics.
Ability to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to read and understand job descriptions, safety/technical manuals, and safety/warning signs.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
Standing for prolonged periods of time.
Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Valid driver’s license including ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer.
Preferred qualifications:
One (1) year of experience working in an industrial environment.
One (1) year of experience performing basic equipment maintenance; lubrication, tire replacement, and other basic vehicle and equipment related tasks.
Petrochemical, oilfield, or arctic experience.
