Position Summary

The Security Supervisor will be responsible for the safety and security of our guest, protect assets of the casino and in supporting the Security department.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists in Overseeing all hiring, training, coaching and scheduling for all Security employees.
  • Assists in developing and enforces Security policies and procedures.
  • Assists in developing plans for security post assignments
  • Assist in developing emergency plans.
  • Communicates with regulatory agencies for necessary compliance procedures.
  • Assists in developing monitoring process for facility and grounds.
  • Assist in implementing fire command system and procedures.
  • Oversee the physical safety of all people.
  • Oversee the physical safeguarding of assets.
  • Oversee the protection of the property of both the patron and the gaming facility from illegal activity. 
  • Identification and removal of any person who is required to be excluded or ejected from the licensed facility.
  • Responsible for video recording of activities in the casino, count room, gaming areas and cashiering operations.
  • Reports illegal activities such as embezzlement, theft, and cheating to the Director of Security, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, regulatory bodies, and law enforcement personnel.
  • Interacts with the Security department and other departments as well as regulatory and outside agencies.
  • Prepares reports and ensures accuracy of reports and compliance with internal procedures and NVE Tribal Gaming Commission Gaming regulations.
  • Assists in developing plans, and ensures team receives training to stay current on scams and games to properly review surveillance monitors.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism in a potentially stressful environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Understand and comply with company and departmental directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure high quality service to all customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from guests.
  • Ability to deal with inebriated customers in a courteous manner.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.

  • Successful Licensing with Eklutna Tribal Gaming Commission

Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used

  • Personal Computer including Microsoft Office and IGT Falcon software
  • Document scanner and printer
  • Various hardware/software used in the slot machine environment
  • Various implements related to Security and Surveillance.
