Alulaq Services Manager & Operations Coordinator

The Kuskokwim Corporation is hiring an Alulaq Services Manager & Operations Coordinator, Aniak, AK.  This is a part-time position working 20 hours a week and reports to the Vice President of Operations.

 

Alulaq Services

  • Manage Alulaq Services including hours of operations, services rendered, monthly quota, budget, supplies, trainings, and other needs.
  • Be main point of contact for DMV Services.
  • Process DMV partnership customers, assisting with REAL ID, state ID, and other services needed.
  • Daily reporting to DMV & close-out of the daily transactions.
  • Work with Arviiq Program Director for any information or reporting needed.
  • Responsible for inventory and ordering of supplies needed.

 

Administrative Operations

  • Greet visitors in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner and aid those who are stopping by the office.
  • Answer phone calls in a professional manner and aid those who are calling. Distribute all messages to appropriate person.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail. Distribute all incoming mail.
  • Responsible for inventory of all TKC office supplies and ordering.
  • Responsible for inventory of all kitchen and janitorial supplies and ordering.
  • Responsible for inventory of training facility supplies and ordering.
  • Responsible for inventory of TKC Employee House supplies and ordering.
  • Maintain and update procedures for all general office tasks.
  • Maintain all records for building operations and use: fuel deliveries, electrical usage, etc.
  • Reconcile monthly expenses.
  • Minimal office and training center cleaning as needed.
  • Assist with outreach efforts to Shareholders and with TKC communities, sharing training opportunities, scholarship information, informational meeting notices, and other pertinent information.
  • Communicate monthly with TKC villages to update the council meeting calendar.
  • Help with special projects within TKC and villages if needed.
  • Respond to questions received from Tribal and City Governments and community members.
  • Research management requests and provide customized information and assistance.
  • Assist Shareholder Records when needed including obtaining Shareholder wills, enrollment, address changes, contacting Shareholders, etc.  
  • Coordinate gatherings and meetings for TKC in Aniak.
  • Coordinate lodging and meals for trainings and events in the Arviiq Training Center.
  • Assist with intake of Building Use Applications and Employee House Request Forms.
  • Invoice organizations for use of the facility or housing space. Collect payments and reconcile accounts monthly to ensure payments are received.
  • Update and disperse the Arviiq Training Center calendar.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

TKC Project Support

  • Energy – Communication with our 10 TKC communities and surrounding region as applicable, on fuel and energy costs, maintaining a database to support energy projects and initiatives
  • Housing – Coordination and communication with AVCP Regional Housing Authority on housing and improvements needs in the middle Kuskokwim Region
  • Education – Assist staff with KSD Partnerships, helping with follow-up on student surveys, the CTE follow-up, and other aspects of the partnership as they arise.
  • Other duties may arise as TKC projects evolve.

 

Tribal Library

  • Serve as point of contact for grant for Middle Kuskokwim Tribal Library
  • Duties will change as the project evolves.

 

Skills/Abilities

  • Understand TKC’s purpose, commitment and vision and incorporate knowledge into daily activities.
  • Maintain accurate physical and digital records.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette and thorough knowledge of proper grammar and spelling, vocabulary, composition, and proofreading and editing skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, solve problems, and exercise good judgement.
  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of TKC region Middle Kuskokwim communities and culture. 
  • Knowledge of computer systems, communication tools and software such as Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a notary certificate.
  • Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license or bush license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
