This is a remote/ rotational position, working in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 91 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 51 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervision and management of the daily activities of craft personnel engaged in operation and maintenance of the Prudhoe Bay field. Providing bids to the client, Daily office duties of timecards, gravel / water tracking, personnel coordination and correspondence, equipment coordination.
  • Project coordination and execution for: Drilling Support, Wells Support, Roads and Pads, Culvert Removal and Replacement, Remote Exploration Site Cleanup, Snow Removal, Ice Road Construction, MTS pit maintenance and 3rd party groups needing these services
  • Examine work, equipment assignments and materials for compliance with specifications.
  • Communicates with 3rd parties to provide support and materials
  • Acts as mentor and provides training and feedback to team members and new employees.
  • Adheres to Work Execution Plan expectations for work acceptance and planning, execution and close out. Positively reinforces safe work practices by providing daily recognition to team members.
  • Routinely performs safety and productivity observations; shop, field, and vehicle inspections; and is required to attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.
  • Promotes a safety culture that supports and encourages employees to go beyond the call of duty to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and are comfortable intervening to correct inappropriate behaviors and concerns. Champions voluntary safety programs.
  • Adheres to all North slope and Worley health, safety and environment policies and procedures always.
  • Assigns work in accordance with work management processes and ensures the safe execution of work within the planned and approved scope, and job plan.
  • Initiates and maintains positive working relationships with client representatives and other internal and external customers to facilitate project activities, understands current and future customer needs and continually strives to exceed customer expectations. 
  • Does job walkdowns with 3rd parties and plans work accordingly.
  • Provides supervisor with job cost estimates for equipment, gravel and completion of projects.
  • Maintains gravel and water trackers for client and state agencies.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and plan accordingly for safe execution.
  • Able to do pre-job planning for Dewatering, Reserve pit snow removal and various large projects while placing the right people and equipment in the right spot for safe completion of each project.
  • Able to read pre-shot elevations for rig preps and coordinate gravel hauls for each.
  • Ensures maintenance of equipment in good/clean working order.
  • Maintain communications with supervisor, 3rd parties and clients as needed.
  • Attend various components of developmental and safety training.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

  • Knowledge of the functional operation, purpose, capabilities, and limitations of all pieces of fleet equipment.   
  • Ability to communicate clear direction to work crew Leads, Crews, management, and client representatives.
  • Ability to develop and maintain an efficient and effective alternate relationship.
  • Ability to recognize and correct gaps in the safe execution of field maintenance work scope.
  • Ability to train, direct and assess employee’s knowledge in equipment operation/driving.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate to others information relating to safety/technical manuals, procedures, permits, THAs,, IFWA (Incident Free Work Assessment) cards, and safety/warning signs.
  • Ability to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
  • Ability to hear audible safety alarms and warnings.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers with sufficient dexterity to perform close, exacting, and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to read maps.
  • Ability to follow detailed directions.
  • Ability to complete task hazard awareness and mitigation.
  • Oversee extensive equipment operation in congested areas, large volume of backing operations and in severe weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of standard DOT regulations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.

·       Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

·       Must stand throughout evaluation.

·       Aerobic capacity evaluation via 3 Minute step test.

·       Sit and reach and range of motion evaluations.

·       Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.

·       Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.

·       Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.

·       Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

·       Kneel 60 seconds, stand, kneel 60 seconds, stand.

·       Squat 60 seconds.

In-Vehicle Monitoring System: As part of our commitment to safety and accountability, company vehicles are equipped with in-cab cameras and vehicle monitoring systems.   • Five (5) years’ experience in operating various types of equipment required.
  • Valid Class A CDL driver’s license with Tanker endorsement and ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Current CDL/DOT medical card required.
  • Petrochemical, oilfield, or arctic experience preferred.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
