The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and providing customers with pricing and material recommendations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed takeoff\estimate based on plans and project specifications.
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Provide pricing recommendations and product guidance to customers.
Request and review vendor bids for complete scope coverage and accuracy.
Work with colleagues throughout the organization to ensure excellent customer experience from the inception of the order through delivery.
Develop new customer relationships and maintain customer partnerships.
Ensure timely quotations and accurate order processing.
Follow up and update customers regarding bid status, order status, delivery status, etc.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding their expectations and how we intend to deliver on those expectations.
Provide solutions through products, service, or information to add value to our customers.
Enter orders and credit memos into our system accurately and efficiently.
Train Inside Sales staff on BCL sales procedures.
Serve as key point of contact for staff and customer questions.
Track customer and industry trends to make recommendations to management.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years’ project estimating experience.
Other related construction management experience may substitute
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Products, including Word and Excel, at an intermediate level
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
