General Functions:
The Youth Employment Program (YEP) Intern participates in a 10-12 week internship designed to provide hands-on work experience by applying knowledge, skills, and abilities in focused areas of interest. This position exposes youth to various career fields through meaningful work assignments while providing assistance and support to designated worksite staff. Working in partnership with our people, YEP Interns develop opportunities that fulfill their endless potential by gaining real-world experience and building professional skills. The role serves as a bridge between education and employment, helping Alaska Native and American Indian youth explore career paths while contributing to their communities.
