Purpose:

Teya Development Company, LLC (Teya) is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator based in Anchorage, AK to manage, connect, and enhance the software and hardware involved with the company. Must have experience with Deltek Costpoint, as that will be a key focus area. Duties and Responsibilities:

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
  • Manages permissions, access, security, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for all users.
  • Perform account management, including establishing, activating, modifying, disabling, and removing accounts
  • Provide configuration management, implementation, and maintenance of compliance with applicable system security controls.
  • Perform periodic vulnerability scans of systems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the employee/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication about IT issues and their status to management, employees, and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.  Ensure “fit for purpose” relative to IT systems.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.  Encompasses regulations and requirements around government contracting, federal and local law, and client requirements and expectations. 
  • Ensure IT systems, setups, processes, and procedures remain compliant with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) or other related required cybersecurity requirements.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to users.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and Department staff/Stakeholders to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions and implements upgrades to computer/cloud systems.
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports
  • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives, operations, and other department staff.
  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, Payroll, Accounting, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in software providers, vendors, and technology.  Uses knowledge to proactively recommend ongoing IT process improvements and optimizations related to systems.
  • Periodic travel to attend technical conferences, seminars, meetings, and training in and out of state
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  •       Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field required.
  •       At least five years of related experience required with at least one year in a supervisory position preferred.
  •       Computing Environment (CE) Certification. The CE certification requirements can be fulfilled with either Microsoft OS or Cent OS/Red Hat OS CE certifications
  •       Three (3) years or more Deltek Costpoint experience required
  •       Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate preferred
  •       Active Directory, Identity Management, and MS Exchange are preferred
  •       Prior experience at an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) preferred
  •       Prior experience with a government contractor preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  •      Strong critical thinking skills, logical problem-solving skills, and adherence to policy and procedure
  •      Ability and knowledge to install, configure, update, troubleshoot, and optimize IT systems
  •      Knowledge of security/cybersecurity best practices to protect organization’s data
  •       Ability and knowledge to understand, communicate, and implement system updates or patches to address system vulnerabilities, protect against cyber threats, and enhance system functionality
  •       Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data and optimizing database performance preferred
  •      Effective communication skills, including the ability to develop clear and concise written/verbal communication and materials, create comprehensive documentation, and troubleshoot effectively.
  •      Excellent time management skills required. Candidate must be able to prioritize and address critical issues to minimize downtime and disruptions as well as manage day-to-day activities or project action items efficiently

  •      Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  •       Knowledge of system security best practices, including access control, authentication mechanisms, and endpoint protection.

This role is hybrid, which requires some time in the corporate offices of Teya Development Company, LLC in Anchorage.  Travel to Teya business locations, client locations, and other locations required from time to time, as needed.
