Digital Strategist [Anchorage based]

Thompson & Co. is seeking a digital strategist to join our award-winning digital team. Job summary: We are seeking a mid-level digital strategist to join our team in our Anchorage office. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting social media content, advising on organic and paid social campaigns and support various client content creation needs. You’ll work closely with the senior digital strategist to ensure client goals are achieved.

Digital strategists should have a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, or marketing and typically have between 2-5 years of agency or relevant experience. May require periodic instate travel.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting senior digital strategist in executing all digital marketing tactics on behalf of clients.
• Understanding of digital marketing tactics and work to implement those strategies for clients in a thoughtful, strategic way.
• Manage digital ad campaigns and/or social media campaigns from tactic and strategy recommendations to reporting.
• Proactively propose new digital strategies, tactics and concepts for clients.
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of regular digital reports for clients.
• Develop ROI for all digital campaigns and ensure internal team develops content with client goals in mind.
• Oversee junior members of the digital team and direct their content development efforts.
• Develop, implement and manage project timelines.
• Manage organization and tracking of all digital client assets.
• Propose new social media content and digital campaigns for existing clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have experience with both organic and paid social media strategies and content.
• Must have 1-3 years of experience with Meta Ads Manager and Meta Business Suite. Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Sprout Social, etc.
• Must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented and an overall understanding of the consumer buying process.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Photography skills are a plus!
• Support of Alaska’s resource industries.
