This position is based in Anchorage, AK but offers a fully remote schedule for candidates who live outside of Alaska. Remote employees may be required to travel to the corporate office on a regular schedule. For candidates who are based in Anchorage, AK, CIRI offers a hybrid work schedule.

General Function
In alignment with CIRI’s mission and values, the Financial Systems Manager is responsible for managing software and systems related to accounting and treasury functions, including user security access, integrations of all relevant systems, and software updates and implementations. In conjunction with accounting management, this role will maintain general ledger architecture and reporting outputs to meet end user needs.
Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)
- Responsible for managing the software applications related to CIRI’s accounting and treasury functions.
- Primary administrator of CIRI’s financial and treasury software. Maintain reporting architecture and system process workflows.
- Manage complex system integrations across multiple software and financial institutions. Work cross-functionally to ensure finance and treasury applications are compliant and operate according per business requirements.
- Administrator of system maintenance, including troubleshooting system errors, administering help tickets with external software support, and managing system upgrades.
- Work cross-functionally to assess the needs of the business, prioritize projects and drive new solutions to completion.
- Provide training to new users and ongoing skill enhancement training to existing users; create and update training materials as needed.
- Responsible for software implementations, new integrations, and updates.
- Identify software applications needed to improve accounting and treasury business operations. Participate in demonstrations from multiple software providers, design and update a scorecard to compare various options and recommend best options.
- In conjunction with accounting and treasury leadership, manage implementations of new software applications, focusing on integrations with existing systems. Identify, monitor, and resolve critical integration issues within implementation project timeline.
- Identify and manage new integrations with existing software as needed. Create integration project plan including identification of key stakeholders, designing integration to meet project objectives, thorough testing of integration before placing into production.
- Ensure system security function to secure and protect sensitive financial information.
- Identify potential system and procedural control risks and make recommendations to senior management to mitigate identified risks.
- Maintain system users with appropriate system access, ensuring financial security through internal controls.
- Perform routine security audits of user access and report results to senior management.
- Collaborate with accounting leadership to build and maintain system reports.
- Perform other duties as appropriate and as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
- Understand CIRI’s mission, vision and strategic focus areas and incorporate knowledge into daily activities.
- Strong sense of organization. Ability to develop comprehensive work plans for short, mid-range and long-term projects such as software and integration implementations. Ability to manage such projects and to perform many of the related project tasks.
- Working level knowledge of accounting functions and workflows.
- Strong software implementation experience including integrations with existing software, preferably ERP and other financial or treasury related software.
- Experience managing complex system integrations.
- Ability to make decisions, solve problems and exercise good judgment; ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and Outlook, and industry-standard computer software and databases.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated-company employees as well as outside business associates; exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team; ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, including a thorough knowledge of proper grammar, good vocabulary, spelling, and proofreading skills.
- High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information.
Physical Abilities
- Sufficient fine motor skills for use of computers, calculators with an ability to withstand repetitive keyboarding for extended periods of time.
- Visual and communication ability adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to kneel, bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
- Ability to reach below shoulder height with regular frequency (desk position) and at or above shoulder height on occasion.
- Ability to push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field or computer science, bachelor’s degree in accounting or information systems preferred.
- Five years progressively increased responsibilities administering financial software systems, experience with Workday, Adaptive and/or Deltek preferred.
- Ability to pass background check.
