JOB SUMMARY
The Preconstruction Coordinator is responsible for collaboration with the ASRC Construction team from pursuit selection, proposal development, and contract review related to bid-build, design-build, CM/GC, and CMAR contracts. This role will assist the Preconstruction Director to conduct preconstruction planning and stakeholder management for federal, state and other clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
- Key role in supporting the preconstruction and estimating teams
- Track and manage upcoming opportunities, bids, and submission deadlines
- Coordinate development, editing, and submission of proposals
- Compile supporting documentation such as insurance, bonding, and compliance forms
- Facilitate communication and coordination between estimators, project teams, and external stakeholders
- Support logistics for preconstruction meetings, including scheduling, agenda prep and note-taking of action item tracking
- Maintain and tailor staff resumes and project narratives for proposal use
- Coordinate and compile qualifications packages and prequalification submissions
- Support early-stage project planning and preconstruction documentation
- Maintain databases and templates used in proposals and bid tracking
- Maintain subcontractor/vendor contact database and assist with outreach as needed for preconstruction efforts
- Track opportunities and coordinate communications among agencies, owners/clients, and other key stakeholders
- Develop or maintain templates and tools to streamline preconstruction processes and improve efficiency
- Support project teams during the transition from Preconstruction to Operations, ensuring a smooth handoff of documentation and information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or other related field
- Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience may substitute.
- Five (5) years’ experience in construction industry that includes estimating and project management.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products, Bluebeam, and Adobe at an intermediate level.
Preferred
- Advanced technical training.
- Experience using WinEst, On-Screen Take-off, Vista, Primavera P6, or other similar system.
- Experience in design-build, CM/GC, and CMAR contracts.
- Experience in government contracting
- Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as InDesign, Smartsheet and construction management platforms.

The work environment is in a busy construction setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually varies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
