Paug-Vik Inc., Ltd. (PVIL), the Alaska Native village corporation for Naknek, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our diverse business portfolio and community-focused operations.
As General Manager, you will play a central role in the continued success and stewardship of PVIL’s fuel services, freight logistics, housing, and land management. You’ll serve as the lead liaison to the Board of Directors, ensuring alignment between operational activities and shareholder priorities.
This is a hands-on, in-person leadership role — based in Naknek, AK. ideal for a collaborative leader who values rural Alaska communities, Native governance, and sustainable development.
Compensation & Perks
$120,000 annual salary (DOE), Health Insurance Coverage, Professional development
Provided housing (Blueberry House), use of a corporate vehicle (restrictions apply)
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and grow PVIL’s business operations and land management
Foster partnerships with local and regional Native organizations
Lead staff development, budgeting, and financial performance
Serve as primary point of contact for the Board and shareholders
Ensure compliance with ANCSA, leases, contracts, and corporate policies
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years in organizational or business leadership
Strong understanding of ANCSA and Alaska Native corporations
Experience in finance, HR, and community engagement
Skilled communicator and relationship-builder
Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred:
Grant writing or compliance experience
Familiarity with life and business in rural Alaska
