Summary:
Under general supervision, provides advanced paralegal, technical and administrative support for the Office of Legal Affairs.
Responsibilities:
Under direct legal supervision, provides advanced paralegal and administrative support for the Office of Legal Affairs to include:
Document preparation / management -
Drafts correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
Prepare and file documents with courts or government agencies as required.
Gather, review, and organize files and information for discovery or internal investigations.
Project management -
Assist team members in entering new projects into Asana (project management app).
Regularly round with attorneys to ensure (1) all current projects are entered into Asana and (2) all projects have been updated.
Identify and consolidate duplicative projects.
Ensure that all priority projects have due dates associated with them.
Ensure that all projects that support a Strategic Plan KPI are identified.
Track individual team members’ goals and achievements for performance review purposes.
Prepare first draft of the agenda for monthly team meetings.
Schedules and confirms appointments -
Coordinates meetings; reserves meeting spaces and records.
Performs other duties as assigned.

· Skill in oral and written communication, and addressing sensitive issues with individuals with a wide array of political, social, cultural and educational backgrounds.

· Skill in maintaining confidentiality.
· Skill in developing office and data management systems.
· Skill in managing complex projects.
· Skill in preparing court documents and providing litigation support.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, government/political science, business or other related field. Progressively responsible professional work-related experience, education, or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non-supervisory – Six (6) years of paralegal experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION
Paralegal certificate.

Some travel may be required.
