Job Summary:
The Panel Shop Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our panel shop, ensuring the timely and efficient completion of tasks, and maintaining quality standards. This role requires technical knowledge and the ability to coordinate activities to meet production goals. This is a physical position so the applicant must be able to be able to work on their feet for long periods and able to lift at least fifty pounds. The Panel Shop Lead is responsible for ensuring compliance with UL standards and establishing a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoot technical problems and provide guidance to technicians as needed.
• Conduct quality control checks and functional tests on all panel assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineering and project managers to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Prepare panels for testing and for shipping.
• Maintain continuous communication with project managers on the status of projects, resource utilization, and any issues that may affect production.
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and quality control standards in the panel shop.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
• Work in a safe manner in compliance with OSHA, manufacturer’s instructions, and company policy.
• Work with Operations to facilitate implementation of inventory management processes. Monitor inventory for ongoing improvement to maximize return on investment.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are well-maintained and functioning properly.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
• Able to read electrical schematics and drawings and have a good understanding of electrical symbols.
• Able to identify electrical panel components from bill of materials and schematic symbols.
• Able to lay out and wire industrial control panels based on schematic, blueprint, and/or wire schedule.
• Able to evaluate components and assemblies and apply the applicable standards for compliance within the program authorization.
Qualifications:
• Electrical experience preferred.
• Proven experience as a supervisor or a similar leadership role.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to a safe work environment.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with UL standards
• Ensures on-time delivery via shipping and local will call.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.
Education Requirements:
• 3+ years related experience and/or training in the department assigned.
Office Location and Travel:
• This position is in Wasilla, AK.
• Minimal travel may be required.
