The University of Alaska Fairbanks is inviting applications for the position of Director of the Office of Grants and Contracts Administration (OGCA). This position is responsible for the management of the OGCA and to ensure funding compliance with all State, Federal, and private funding agencies covering a broad spectrum of research grant and contract activities. OGCA is UAF's centralized office for research administration and employees handle activities throughout the project lifecycle from inception to closeout. The successful finalist will be expected to report to duty at the UAF office no later than 60 days from written notice provided by the university.

To excel in this role, we're looking for someone with a working knowledge of fund accounting procedures, income, and expenditure accounting, as well as knowledge of federal regulations governing sponsored programs and sponsoring agency policies, including OMB Uniform Guidance and Federal Acquisitions Regulations. Additionally, you should have a solid working knowledge with regulatory, legislative, and governing bodies impacting research administration to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Being knowledgeable of enterprise and sponsor research administration systems including Grants.gov, and Research.gov. is very important.
Expert leadership, negotiations, and public administration skills are a must, as well as, the ability to create, implement, assess, and shape the direction of programs and policies based on system needs and strategic, University-level goals and objectives.
Finally, we are seeking someone who can demonstrate supervisory experience and fiduciary responsibility; understand federal award management, contract negotiation, and intellectual property protection; and is dedicated to serve a diverse client/customer base and communicate effectively and professionally.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Accounting or relevant field and six years progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

This position is on-site located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks, Alaska.
