Who We Are Seeking: We are seeking a self-motivated professional to facilitate planned and organized classroom activities for students in pre-K through 12th grade. On-call substitute teachers are responsible for providing instruction and managing classroom environments in the absence of the full-time teacher. This position requires fostering a positive and collaborative educational atmosphere, enabling children to reach their full potential in intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual, and psychological growth within a multi-age setting. Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.
Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
