Notice of STATEWIDE Apprenticeship Opportunity
The Alaska Joint Electrical Apprenticeship & Training Trust (AJEATT) is currently accepting applications for
Wireman, Lineman, Telecommunications & Tree-trimmer Apprenticeships throughout Alaska


Applications must be complete by September 30th, 2024


All qualifying applicants will be scheduled for an interview.
To meet minimum qualifications for apprenticeship, applicants must:
• Be a minimum of 18 years of age at time of selection.
• Have a valid drivers’ license.
• Have a high school diploma or state issued GED certificate.
• Meet the minimum math requirement through one of the following:
o Two semesters of high school algebra 1 (or higher-level algebra) with a passing grade
of ‘C’ or higher
o one post high school algebra course with a passing grade
o a certificate showing completion of the NJATC tech math course
o the State of Alaska WorkKeys math test with a ‘6’ or higher
You must submit all of the following items to be considered for an interview:
• Online application form
• Copy of driver's license
• Full individual driving record dated within the last 90 days
• OFFICIAL transcripts for high school and post high school education and training, including
GED records if applicable
• Copy of high school diploma or GED certificate (high school transcripts are sufficient if they
state that you obtained a diploma)
• Documentation showing that you meet the minimum math requirement
• Pay the $25 application fee
If you served in the U.S. military within the last 5 years, or if you can document over 2,000 hours of electrical construction experience, different qualifications may apply to you.
