Community Events Assistant
Cook Inlet Housing Authority
The initial training schedule will be during weekdays. Schedule will transition to Thursday-Sunday following training period.
The Nave is a community arts and culture hub owned and operated by Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA), an Alaska Native organization committed to building and strengthening our community by fostering opportunities to gather, learn, create, and explore. The Nave has emerged as a central pillar of CIHA’s investment in the Spenard neighborhood, providing a space for community events, workshops, performances, and knowledge sharing. As a gathering space for arts and culture, it creates a safer and more vibrant community where people can creatively engage with their neighbors.
In addition to hosting a number of events for CIHA staff and residents, The Nave puts on arts and culture programming, provides affordable artist studios, hosts rental space for community gatherings and non-profit events, and provides private rental space. Private event rentals help to sustain this community and cultural hub, allowing The Nave to offer cultural events at low and no-cost to attendees throughout the year. Private rentals also allow The Nave to offer reduced rental fees to non-profit organizations. The Community Events Assistant will work with all types of event hosts—private rentals, community rentals, and CIHA hosts—to book their events and welcome them to the space.
