UAA Esports is recruiting for a student Esports Technician for the Esports Lounge.

The Esports Technician will primarily be responsible for the maintenance of the Esports Lounge PCs' and Consoles' hardware and software. They will be required to perform updates to the software a minimum of twice per week. They will also be responsible for creating and managing student accounts on ggLeap, the software used in the Esports Lounge, and any peripheral check-outs that are requested during the designated hours. They will also act on behalf of UAA Esports during the resource fairs, being able to answer any questions that may come up as well as promote UAA Esports during those times. The Technician may be asked to assist with maintaining the streaming PC located in the office area away from the Lounge.

To thrive in this role the Esports Technician should have previous experience working with student groups and community members. The Technician should be able to learn different software programs and have a general understanding of Esports games/culture. A good understanding of how to maintain PC hardware and software, and console hardware and software will help greatly in this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

● General knowledge of Esports games, particularly League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Valorant, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Rainbow 6 Siege, and Counter-Strike
● Knowledge of current-gen and previous-gen consoles e.g. Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.

Position Details:

This position starts as a student assistant 2 step 4, $12.03/hr.
