General Function

In alignment with CIRI’s mission and values, responsible for the accounting and reporting related to assigned industries/affiliates within the CIRI structure. Support as assigned for CIRI’s overall accounting and reporting requirements.

 

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

  1. Responsible for daily, monthly and annual accounting for designated industries and/or affiliates of CIRI. Procedures include recording monthly operating results and recurring entries, reviewing coding on invoices, reviewing monthly transaction registers, reconciling inter-company and other general ledger accounts, recording equity income to parent and review of monthly financial statements. Reconcile subsidiary companies' account ledgers to general ledgers and perform other account reconciliations as required.
  2. Coordinates and executes the integration of the government services segment’s monthly financial data and related financial reporting, including analysis of gross margins, unbilled revenues, and accounts receivable.
  3. Responsible for all fixed asset recording and reconciliation for CIRI and subsidiaries, including research and assignment of appropriate life, depreciation, gain/(loss) calculations and reporting.
  4. Tracks property tax accruals and payments, posts necessary adjustments monthly and reconciles balances.
  5. Performs monthly bank reconciliations.
  6. Prepares schedules and work papers for annual financial audits of CIRI and subsidiaries.
  7. Assists in the preparation of all internal and external reports including monthly financial statements, quarterly consolidations, and year-end financial statements. Assists with various other reporting and analysis across all of CIRI's diverse business segments.
  8. Assists with annual budget compilation.
  9. Assists with all forecasts and projections.
  10. Monitors budget-to-actual performance on designated projects and operations; research variances from budget.
  11. Performs other duties as appropriate and as assigned.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and particularly Excel), and industry-standard computer software and databases.
  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
  • Two or more years of public accounting experience; or five or more years of accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a background screening
