This is a fast-paced position that assists the Manager of UAF Onboarding and Engagement with welcoming new hires to UAF, the development of onboarding and engagement activities to include: campus tours, event planning such as employee welcome and recognition events, content development, creating visual materials such as presentations, website content, multimedia and printed publications, and the implementation of communication plans.

 

To thrive in this role, you must enjoy working with people! This position requires basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and database contacts management); excellent customer service; communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to coordinate the use of equipment, building space, or programs; and the ability to design, print and produce other collateral material preferred.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

To be eligible for student employment at UAF, a student must:

a. be enrolled in the university system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or

b. for employment between semesters, have successfully completed six or more UA credit hours in the preceding semester and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester; and

c. have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.

Salary Information:

 

This is a part-time temporary student position. Starting pay is $15.26 per hour, but is negotiable depending on experience.
