As an integral member of the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) Team, the Administrative Assistant (aka Professional Programs Assistant) works together with the Team and its partners to advance highly effective professional learning for educators that continually improves the educational experiences and learning of Alaska's children, and all children.

 

This pivotal position serves as an initial and continuing point of contact. It comprehensively tracks and facilities the multitude of communications and projects, ensuring all necessary steps are completed. The position provides guidance and editing support on curriculum proposals, serves as project leader and support for PACE events, and contributes as a key collaborative member of the PACE Shared Leadership Team.

 

To thrive in this role, the successful applicant must be highly service-focused and enjoy working both independently and collaboratively as a vital part of an organically tight team. The applicant must demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills and be exceptionally organized and persistent. The applicant must have the ability to agilely focus on the detailed tracking and editing demands of the position combined with an understanding of and contribution to the broader purposes and goals.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School graduation and three years progressively responsible office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

 

Position Details:

 

This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage, AK. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/salary.php, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
