Do you understand how social media works and why it's valuable? The Interior Alaska Campus (IAC) is looking for a Content Creators program Coordinator. You will be part of a team that increases access to higher education through advising and other types of student support.

The Interior Alaska Campus (IAC) is recruiting for a Program Coordinator for an exciting program in digital content creation! IAC is seeking a creative individual with expertise in online content creation and social media. The IAC Content Creators program provides students with the skills and knowledge to create, publish and manage their own sites on popular online platforms. This position will represent the program to the public and generate interest in the program, provide student support and build partnerships.

This position is for someone who understands and enjoys managing social media sites. This position will work best for an outgoing person who enjoys working with the public and aiding students. A marketing or communications background is a plus.

IAC is a unique campus due to the area served, the teaching formats used, and the integration of cultural knowledge and practices into the courses offered.

IAC provides higher education to a remote and largely roadless area that covers almost 200,000 square miles and 48 rural communities in Interior Alaska. The vast majority of IAC's service area is an immense wilderness that is roadless and isolated.

The main administrative and educational center for the campus is located at the Harper Building in Fairbanks. IAC seeks to keep connection with the communities we serve through in person and digital contact. This position will work out of Fairbanks and occasionally travel to villages in IAC's service area.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in technology, management, communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Effective experience working with and providing outreach with the public. Knowledge of student support services. Effective experience in collaborating with communities.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Interior Alaska campus in Fairbanks, AK. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
