UAA IT Field Services is an onsite team that provides support in both the traditional desktop and the AV Services field. As a Field Services Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a vast array of projects involving multiple IT units while providing amazing service to our university students, staff, and faculty. A successful applicant should have experience in both desktop and AV support. Additional training will be provided to address any areas of deficiency. Applicants should be adept with both Windows and Apple platforms and be able to further assist with mobile devices of all types. Applicants should have or be interested in learning audio video technology. Applicants should be a self-starter who can work with little to no direct supervision from time to time. Applicants should also have a friendly and outgoing demeanor while assisting our university customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years expertise in IT troubleshooting and problem solving to quickly resolve issues that may arise with various types of computing hardware and AV equipment. Applicants should also be well versed in a variety of platforms such as Apple, Microsoft, and Android IOS. A successful applicant must be able to work in a team-based environment to assist our customers quickly and professionally.

Demonstrated experience with Windows 7/8/10/11 Mac OS, iPhones, iPads, Printers and Microsoft Office applications

Must have the ability on rare occasions to work nights and/or weekends and participate in an on-call rotation.

Applicants must possess an unrestricted Alaska driver's license or be able to obtain an unrestricted Alaska driver's license within 60 days of accepting the position.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. This is a full time 12-month onsite staff IT technical position.
