Intramural Referee and Group Fitness - Student Assistant

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 1. Student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

2. Ability to operate independently within departmental standards of conduct and professional expectations with proper training, awareness of risk management and safety concerns.

3. Excellent customer service skills.

4. Reasonable level of physical fitness.

5. Dependability, responsibility and punctuality.

6. Professional attire and behavior.

7. Awareness of and appreciation for individual uniqueness and diversity.

8. Knowledge of, and/or interest in, recreation and fitness activities.

9. Enthusiasm, desire to learn and desire to work as part of a team. Preferred Experience & Education: Preference for 6+ months of customer service experience. Required Experience & Education:

CPR/1st aid certified or willing to become certified.

Student Employment Qualifications:

This position is for UAF students, therefore applicants must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours during the fall or spring semester, whichever is current or next, and have a GPA of at least 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.

Salary Information:

Starting rate is $12.00 per hour.

 

Compensation is commensurate with experience and type of work designed.
