Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and database applications with the ability to perform data searches using the internet.

 

• Ability to pay close attention to detail, work in a proficient and organized manner, follow instructions and work without close supervision at times.

 

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and security of all information.

 

• Must show demonstrated knowledge of general office procedures and practices.

 

• Must possess basic clerical skills including accurate typing and filing.

 

• Must be familiar with office equipment (fax, copier, calculators, personal computers).

 

• Must be able to type at an acceptable speed with a high rate of accuracy.

 

• Exceptional communication skills are desired as this position, at times, works directly with the public. Required Education or Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Must be enrolled with a minimum of 6 credit hours and have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.

Salary Information:

New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/files/FY24-Student-Pay-Grid.pdf, based on education and experience. Please note that based on geographic location and knowledge, skills, and abilities, the hiring authority for the position may negotiate a higher rate to ensure fair and equitable compensation.

The review process for applications will begin on an as-needed basis. This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.

 

Applicants must be enrolled as UA students taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.
