Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Customer oriented and friendly individual who can deal with occasional stressful situations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic electronic logic and theory, basic troubleshooting techniques and microcomputer functionality.
• Knowledge of Windows and Mac based personal computer operating systems.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed technical instructions and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to use special tools, fabricate cables, and terminate premise cabling (Cat-5e, Cat-6).
• Ability to repair mechanical devices and basic keyboard operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with people experiencing problems.
• Ability to use tools and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Experience & Education: Preferred: Customer service, technical aptitude
Prior experience is desired but not required (OIT is willing to invest in training and career development) Required Experience & Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. UA student enrolled in the minimum of 6 credit hours;
Must have a valid driver's license.
Salary Information:
Starting wage for this position is $15.26 hourly.
To qualify for this position, you must be enrolled in at least 6.0 credit hours per semester.
