Wood Center Front Desk Attendant - Student Assistant

This student job is responsible for providing services at the main desk and the games area at Wood Center. Services include, but are not limited to, campus information; lost and found services; recreational services (pool tables, ping pong, and Bowling; campus switchboard; ticket sales for campus and community events, and sales of a variety of sundries.
Reading, writing, speaking, customer service skills.
Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
Preferred experience: office setting and customer service.
Ability to display professional demeanor and make consistent decisions being honest and trustworthy in all required duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
A.) Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or
B.) Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and
C.) Have at least a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
D.) An applicant must provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.

This is a Student Assistant position; the position will pay $14.97 per hour.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
