The College of Rural and Community Development is seeking graduate students to fulfill a teaching assistantship.

 

This posting is for those graduate students interested in a teaching/research assistantship with any department within the College of Rural and Community Development. Can be on a per semester or full academic-year basis.

 

The assistantship does include a tuition waiver, health care coverage, and a stipend.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Have experience, or interest, and capacity to learn curriculum and support. Have an

understanding of how learning//creative processes work. Have knowledge and experience with rural Alaska Native communities and cultures. Be able to collaborate and work in a diverse environment. Good writing and editing skills. Good organizational skills. Good communication skills. Familiarity with Blackboard, Google Docs, and the Microsoft Office Suite programs. Preferred Experience & Education: Approximately 2-4 years experience in similar positions, or formal skills training as an undergraduate. Required Experience & Education:

Awarded Bachelor's degree and pursuing a graduate degree at UAF.

Salary Information:

This is a part-time, 9-month, graduate research or teaching assistantship. Salary is commensurate based on current degree standing as outline by the https://www.uaf.edu/gradschool/faculty-staff/index.php and can be negotiated.
