The MSC store (Campus Cache), offers students, faculty, and staff quick access to needed supplies, study guides, and clothing. The Campus Cache also serves as cashiering for the entire campus, accepting payment for tuition, fees, testing, and more.

To thrive in this role, the individual should posses an enthusiasm to provide excellent customer service to all customers, have the ability to communicate clearly, as well as the ability to file accurately. The ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Student employee positions require maintaining a minimum enrollment of 6 credits or more within the University of Alaska System and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

It is preferred to have experience in the following areas: an office/retail setting, utilizing banner, merchandising in a retail environment, money handling, & various computer applications (such as Microsoft Office & Google Suites).

Position Details:

This student employee position is located on the https://matsu.alaska.edu/ campus in Palmer, Alaska with a starting pay rate of https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/files/FY24-Student-Pay-Grid.pdf. Hours are limited to 20 per week maximum during instructional periods of the academic year. During summer term, full-time hours may be available depending on department needs and budget.

This is a pooled position, open until filled.
