Warehouser - Central Receiving

The UAF Facilities Services Property office is looking for our newest Central Receiving and Surplus team member. This is a full-time benefited position. We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Warehouse employee whose tasks will include, but not limited
to the receipt, storage, issuance, and delivery of materials and assets to support the UAF campus community. Helpful skills consist of, attention to detail, solid work history that demonstrates reliability; warehouse and forklift experience is a plus. Hours are 8am - 5pm.

To thrive in this position candiates will have the ability to interpret and apply receiving guidelines; Hazardous Materials regulations and 6070 Union Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position equires apprentice level or other equivalent certification appropriate to the specific trade; with a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and/or experience in processing items through US Customs is helpful. Computer experience required. Knowledge using Excel, and Word.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Alaska Driver License (or ability to obtain one upon hire) and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.

• Forklift Certification or ability to obtain certification

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. Salary Information: CTX /Step 1 $24.36/hr. (See Article 9.2 in the L6070 Collective Bargaining Agreement, https://www.alaska.edu/hr/labor/labor-relations/local-6070.php#collapse3d13e356).

This position is represented by the Alaska Higher Education Crafts & Trades Employees (L6070).
