Facilities Services is looking for an Assistant Systems and Database Manager to be a key player in supporting our important work of our stewardship over legacy and historical information; all of the archives of building plans and manuals, 30 years worth of legacy website code, and preserving legacies of facilities and systems information going back nearly an entire century. In the end, it's important to understand that the end users, the people of FS, UAF and UA, are why any of these systems are here in the first place, and that being invested in the well being and functionality of the systems, their users, and the user experiences are all important to the success of our overall mission of being good stewards of the land and maintaining all of the buildings, facilities, and all of campus for use by generations to come.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other related field and two years experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. * Knowledge of database development and maintenance. * Windows, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services), and other web server and systems experience. * Proficiency and experience with HTML, CSS, ColdFusion (CFML), JavaScript, and SQL programming languages. * Basic proficiency or experience with AutoCAD. * Knowledge and experience in document management and document tracking systems. Includes archival, electronic files, standards, and filing systems. * Knowledge of general departmental office techniques, procedures, and equipment. A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.
Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php.
