The University of Alaska Anchorage, Division of Campus Services, seeks a Box Office Manager to oversee all ticketing aspects of the Alaska Airlines Center (AAC). The AAC is a stunning 196,000 square foot facility that seats up to 5,000 spectators in the main arena and is a cornerstone of UAA's Anchorage campus.

The Box Office Manager will control all ticket inventories and oversee the processing of orders and payment. Utilizing ticketing software, they will create ticketing for events and financial reports; manage and participate in the development and administration of an annual budget; direct the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies; direct and monitor expenditures.

The Box Office Manager is responsible for the selection, training, motivation and evaluation of all Box Office personnel, and the management of all aspects of customer service related to internal and external customers.

Lead your team effectively, manage finances diligently, and coordinate ticketing seamlessly. Maintain composure during high-stress situations, swiftly adapting to changing environments. Ensure compliance and security while fostering a positive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of two to four years of increasingly responsible Box Office/Ticketing Management experience, preferably with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility, or other multi-purpose facility.

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year accredited college or university with major course work in business or public administration, or related field.

Applicant must possess an unrestricted Alaska driver's license (and CDL with endorsements as required) or be able to obtain an unrestricted Alaska driver's license within 60 days of accepting the job. In addition, the applicant must meet UAA's safe driving criteria.

FERPA certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.
Title IX certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.
Behavior Based Safety (BBS) certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.
Workplace Harassment Prevention certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.

Position Details:

This is a Term Funded full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/salary-schedules.php, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
