Real Estate Assistant Job Duties:

Job duties include telephone duties, ordering supplies, preparing and distributing marketing materials, documentation, and reports.  To be successful in this position, you should be highly organized and socially confident.  An outstanding Real Estate Counselor Assistant should be able to keep the office running smoothly and enable the Counselors to perform efficiently.

Real Estate Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Greeting clients, answering the telephone, and making follow-up calls.
  • Preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and making packets for meetings.
  • Preparing real estate forms and documents.
  • Coordinating showings requests, assisting with tutorial functions and obtaining feedback as necessary.
  • Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Preparing listing materials and posting property listings.
  • Co-managing a client database and preparing reports.
  • Assisting with the closing processes.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Real Estate Assistant Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • College courses or degree educated preferred.
  • Previous experience in the real estate industry is beneficial.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willing and capable of being trained in what documents used in Real Estate transactions.
  • Ability to be trained in the use of Company computer software.
  • Understand how to use Apple computers, internet browsers, and general software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dropbox, DotLoop, DocuSign, and MLS apps.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong numeracy and organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good-natured temperament

Upward mobility:

  • Promotion to Real Estate Counselor and potentially Real Estate Associate Broker are possible with mastering of the requirements and responsibilities and a strong desire to succeed.

Compensation:

  • Depends on experience. $18 - $26 per hour.

Benefits:

  • After 90 days of employment, employee are eligible for personal leave. Personal leave is accrued based on hours worked.

Work Schedule:

  • All regular employees are scheduled to work 7.5 hours in a workday. 9am - 5pm. Monday – Friday. Part-time hours are available if needed for the right candidate.
  • Overtime, evenings, and weekends may be requested of employees, as well as out of town travel. Payroll periods are 1-15 day, and 16-last day of month. Payroll dates are the 5th & 20th of each month. If these fall on weekend or holiday, payroll will be next workday after the 5th or 20th.
  • Employee has the option for reduced Friday work hours. The request must be in writing and acknowledged by supervisor.

Overtime:

  • All full-time employees are eligible for paid overtime.
  • Paid overtime will commence once an employee works over 7.5 paid workhours in a workday or 37.5 hours in a workweek.
  • Overtime is 1.5 times the regularly hourly wage.

Lunchtime/break policy:

  • All full-time employees may take an un-paid hour lunch period. An additional ½ hour unpaid break is allowed if desired and available on request.
