DUTIES:

The incumbent will work under the direction of the Guest House manager. The

Responsibilities:

1. Makes customer service number one priority

2. Deals positively with guests

3. Looks out for the safety and well-being of guests

4. Greets and checks-in/out guests efficiently

5. Keeps the lobby and coffee cart tidy

6. Conducts floor checks periodically

7. Responsible for responding to complaints in a positive manner and resolving the issues.

 

Additional Duties: As needed or not more than 25%:

 

Assist the hotel manager and housekeeping department with the cleaning and sanitizing of guest rooms.

Cleaning and sanitizing include the following:

• Understand chemical usage to clean/service guest rooms and safe storing of chemicals.

• Dusting and making beds & rollaway beds. Ensure rooms are vacant, clean for arrival, and/or serviced properly.

• Install Packn' Plays and rollaway beds; includes making the rollaway beds with clean linen.

 

Needs to be flexible – weekday and weekend morning an nights.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Minimum:

1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide at the level necessary to complete required reports.

2. Ability to work as a team player.

3. Read, write, and speak fluent English to communicate effectively with guests and staff.

4. The aptitude to handle guest interactions with tact and patience.

5. A background clearance will be conducted after hire. Applicant must pass this clearance successfully.

Continued employment is contingent on favorable background check.

6. Physically able to lift 25lbs and carry for a reasonable distance.

7. The capacity to climb, bend, lift, push, and pull as required to complete tasks.

8. Ability to stand and work long hours.

Preferred:

  1. Previous lodging experience.
