Position Summary 

Responsible for APCA’s external recruitment and placement strategies, the Program Recruitment Manager leverages relationships and workflows to expand healthcare employment opportunities in Alaska. The position seeks to improve efficiencies, develop partnerships, and meet the requirements of internal stakeholders. This position oversees, coaches, and develops staff to support recruiting and placement for APCA programs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

Other duties may be assigned, as necessary. 

  • Manage external recruitment processes to meet grant requirements 
  • Build APCA’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, Community Health Centers and other community stakeholders  
  • Promote healthcare careers to build benches within APCA and the communities served using promotional campaigns, outreach strategies and initiatives  
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and adjust to the evolving needs of the organization 
  • Monitor and maintain recruitment and placement information within APCA’s Data System and ensure accurate reporting 
  • Create and surveil resumes, career ladders, and marketing materials  
  • Advise candidates and team on interviewing techniques, training, follow-up and salary negotiations 
  • Monitor and maintain documentation of procedures and update accordingly 
  • Coach team and inform managers on system data and KPIs; provide strategies to improve upon metrics and accomplish goals 
  • Oversee and develop recruiting staff 
  • Identify potential candidates through various recruiting tools 

Qualifications / Knowledge 

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in social services, business management, or related field. Year for year experience may be substituted in lieu of education 
  • 3 years of program, employment services or case management experience 
  • 2 years management experience 
  • Experience with the use of data information systems 
  • Experience with candidate selection and employment service  
  • Knowledge of labor laws
