Alaska Bead Company is looking for On-Call Stock Clerks to work Part-Time when you are available. Simply sign-up each week for whatever hours you want to work in the upcoming week. Our preference is that you sign-up for a minimum of a 4-hour shift on days that you want to work, and at least 8 hours per week. But if you do NOT want to work for a week or a few weeks straight, then that is fine also. This job is perfect for someone who wants to earn some spending money and needs total flexibility over their work schedule!

You can choose to work your shifts anytime between 10am and 5:30pm, Monday - Saturday (however, work space is limited, so work shift slots are first come, first served). Most of your job duties would be performed sitting in our classroom. You are allowed to wear earbuds to listen to music, Audible books, etc. while you perform your work. We do ask, however, that talking amongst coworkers be kept to a minimum so as not to negatively impact productivity.

Alaska Bead Company is a Retail Bead company that has a storefront in mid-town Anchorage that has offered beads, findings, tools, beading classes, and beading supplies for the jewelry making and hobbyist community for 30 years.

Job Duties You May Perform:

1. Count out, or weigh miscellaneous items, bag them or tube them, and then label them.

2. Tie off bead hanks or strands and then apply their label.

3. Re-stock seed beads on the showroom floor.

4. Check all inventory being processed for pricing, description, quality, and quantity errors and then report such errors to appropriate stock room personnel.

5. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Must have the appropriate dexterity in your hands to be able to perform the processing described above.

2. Must be able to work alone in a non-social environment.

3. Must be able to pay attention to detail.

4. Must be able to perform basic math skills.

5. Must be dependable and show up for work on the days and times that you signed up for.

Wage and Benefits:

1. Wage $12.14/hour
