Compensation: $65,000-78,000 DOE

Excellent benefits: Signing/relocation bonus, upto $12,000 housing allowance (if living in-region), Health/Dental/Vision, 401k with 6% match, covered travel benefits 

 

The Behavioral Health Clinician develops and provides comprehensive therapeutic treatments and clinical preventative services to community members in individual or group settings. Working collaboratively with patients, their family members and other care providers, the incumbent gathers information, develops treatment plans, identifies strengths and vulnerabilities, and coordinates and monitors services accordingly. Serving as a consistent and trusted educator, the incumbent helps to ensure the community and individuals are knowledgeable and prepared to execute healthy choices.

The incumbent is an integral part of the community in which he/she serves; commitment and dedication to continuity and quality of care is imperative for success. Successful candidates will have proven understanding of the impact of family dynamics, cultural influences, psychosocial issues, and/or substance abuse issues on the health and well-being of the patient; he/she will know how to best develop strategies for the maximum benefit of the patient. Candidate should have experience with trauma informed care and treating co-occurring disorders. This is a full-time position preferably located in Sand Point although an alternate 6 week on, 3 week off schedule is also an option.
To compete for this position, candidates must possess:

Master of Social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
 Four (4) years of behavioral health care experience preferred
 Licensed in the State of Alaska as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT is preferred.
 Chemical Dependency Counselor preferred; incumbent should be able to achieve within first two (2) years of employment.
 Tobacco Cessation Specialist Certification preferred; incumbent should be able to achieve within eighteen (18) months of employment.
 A valid AK Driver’s License (insurable by EAT)
 Experience in rural cross culture setting preferred.
