Exciting opportunity to help develop and coordinate a new program that serves Elders across the state. Coordinates the development and implementation of a new AmeriCorps Seniors- Senior Companion Program. Network with Senior Centers and Elder-serving institutions across Alaska. The Senior Companion program engages volunteers 55+ who provide assistance and friendship to older adults who have difficulty with daily living tasks, such as shopping or paying bills. The Program Coordinator will work with the AmeriCorps Seniors Program Manager to build a statewide network of partners to establish this program in Alaska. (Telework is allowed and location may be flexible within the state of Alaska)
