After School Program Specialist

Our ASP Specialists are responsible for developing and implementing after school programming for girl membership based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. This is a part-time position. The Program Specialist will work 5-10 hours a week over 3-5 days between the hours of 3:00-5:30pm. The position is located in one of the following; Anchorage, Palmer, Wasilla and will run programs in specific elementary schools. The pay for this position starts at $10 per hour.

You Have:

  • High school diploma
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass annual national criminal background check including a check of the National Sex Offender Registry
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications

You Are:

  • Committed to the policies and mission of the Girl Scout organization and willing to become a member of Girl Scouts
  • Interested and experienced working with youth programming
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, make sound decisions, and carry out a multifaceted workload
  • Able to show strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of and committed to organizational diversity
  • Able to work independently without continual direct supervision
  • Able to lift and carry at least 35 lbs
