The University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor rank in Economics to begin Spring 2025. The College of Business and Security Management (CBSM) is accredited by the AACSB. The primary duties of the position are to teach between five and six courses per year at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Faculty are expected to teach in the classroom and via distance learning; incorporation of experiential learning opportunities is expected. Outstanding teaching and excellent communication skills are required. Candidates will develop intellectual contributions in the field of Economics to AACSB standards. In addition to an active research program, candidates will participate in departmental and university service, and engage in continuing professional development. Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates are required to possess an earned Ph.D. in Economics or a related field of study. Candidates must have experience teaching higher ed courses in Economics and may be required to teach various courses in Business Administration. Education, training, or practical experience in an economics field is required.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and https://alaska.edu/jobs/benefits.php. New hires will be placed at the UNAC Grade 30 salary structure. Salary is dependent upon education and experience.
