Summary:
Under general supervision, provides stocking and material handling services to ANTHC. Services include receiving, packaging loads, requisitioning, stocking, and delivering or preparing materials and equipment to various areas of ANTHC in an accurate and timely manner.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Depending on which department incumbent is assigned to, some or all of these duties may be performed. 
  • Assists internal and external customers. Partners with vendors, transportation carriers and community representatives regarding shipment of materials and equipment. 
  • Orders, restocks, receives, prepares, and transports supplies, equipment and instruments to all areas of assigned responsibility. Verifies the content, quantity and condition of materials; maintaining documentation of materials and equipment. Verifies purchase orders with vendor packing slips and actual freight received; checking carefully for discrepancies. Completes and forwards paperwork to purchasing or contracting. 
  • Performs all required inventory activities of supplies and updates inventory database. Performs data entry for manual supply orders. 
  • Consolidates supplies, materials and equipment for shipment. Determines the most efficient and cost effective method of packaging and shipping supplies and equipment. Crates or packages shipment loads and delivers to transportation or mail carrier. Uses postage meter and scale as needed. 
  • Schedules and coordinates pick up and shipment of materials and equipment at destination as needed; following up and tracking on shipment of products to ensure timely delivery to destination. 
  • Complies with proper shipping procedures according for mode of transportation and prepares proper shipping documents. Assures the safety and security of work environment and items shipped. 
  • Delivers, returns, and restocks specialty service carts. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned such as routine custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment, and forwarding damaged or expired items to appropriate personnel, and answering phone and assists internal customers with needed supplies. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of safety precautions/procedures for operating vehicles, equipment and hand-tools.
  • Skill in scheduling and coordinating shipment of construction materials and equipment.
  • Skill in using research and analysis to define and solve problems.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer systems and software programs.

 

 
Supply Technician III

  • Proficient in the use of INFOR.
  • Skill in assigning work assignments and personnel scheduling.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, shipping and material management techniques.
  • Knowledge of transporting items of varying compounds, textures or qualities.
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures for unloading, loading and packaging materials and equipment.
  • Proficient in scheduling and coordinating shipment of construction materials and equipment independently.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

 

 
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Supply Technician I
None
 
Supply Technician II
Two (2) years of material, warehouse, or related administrative experience.
 
Supply Technician III
Four (4) years of material, warehouse, or related administrative experience.

 

 

MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
If assigned to shipping department, must be eligible for certification to handle, ship, and transport hazardous materials.
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess an Alaska driver’s license with a clean driving record

 

** Depending on work experience, the hourly salary is:  $16.75 - $19.50
