Position Summary:
The Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Alaska Anchorage has been at the forefront of public policy research in Alaska for 60 years. ISER's multidisciplinary staff studies virtually all the major public policy issues Alaska faces. That work helps Alaskans better understand the state's changing economy and population—and the challenges and opportunities that come with change. ISER is seeking applicants for an Office Manager to assist the Director's office, Faculty and Staff with navigating UAA's processes.
Located in Anchorage, Alaska's biggest city, the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is the State's largest post-secondary institution. The Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER), housed in UAA's College of Business and Public Policy, is home to a team of faculty and professional researchers across a broad range of disciplines including economics, education, anthropology, public health, and psychology. This position will support ISER's executive team in managing the day to day business of the Institute and support Researchers and Faculty in managing the processes they need to complete their research.
To thrive in this role, the successful ISER Office Manager possesses a passion for helping others, an interest in research, an ability to manage their time efficiently, excellent customer service skills, and strong attention to details.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree and 2 years progressively responsible related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAA main campus in Anchorage, AK, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/files/fy24_staff_salary_grid.pdf, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
