As the HR Accounting Manager, you will manage a team dedicated to upholding the financial integrity of the University of Alaska. This position reports to the Director of HR Services and is based within the Statewide Chief Human Resources Office. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory standards. It demands strategic financial oversight across various HR functions, making it a perfect match for those with robust fiscal management skills.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, advanced accounting principles (GAAP) knowledge, and a solid understanding of payroll and taxation laws. Experience in strategic planning and managing complex financial systems is crucial. Additionally, proficiency in database reporting tools and Microsoft Office is required. The ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and lead a team towards achieving financial accuracy and transparency is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least five years of progressive professional management experience in fiscal roles, preferably in a large organization.
Professional licensure, such as CPA, is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in supervisory roles, financial reporting, and compliance management.
